An account designed for individuals and micro enterprises who find it difficult to leave their business operations to deposit into their savings in Goldman.

It involves a collector going round to collect money from contributors daily and depositing the total amount collected on the day into the contributors individual accounts

 

Features

  • Daily door-step collection– can be five times a week, depending on the area and the preference of the client.
  • Withdrawals can be made after one month.
  • Interest is not paid on this form of savings.
  • No minimum balance is required
  • Clients who regularly make payments qualify for Goldman’s Susu Loan facility.

Operating parameters/ charges

  • Minimum opening amount  : GH¢1
  • No. of contributions: 5x a week
  • Passbook: GH¢ 1 (Shall be taken from clients account)
  • Statements: Upon request
  • Withdrawals: Can be made after one month
  • Withdrawal charges: First day’s contribution, if the client’s contribution is more than GH¢5, Only GH¢5 shall be charged
  • Account opening: Account opening shall be done by the sales coordinator and issue a passbook with the clients name and account boldly written on it.
  • Cash withdrawals
  • Cash withdrawals can only be made in the branch where the account is maintained in person by the client.
  • Under exceptional circumstances and upon written notification by the contributor to the Sales Coordinator or the Branch Manager, the susu collector can withdraw for the contributor when it is proved that the contributor may not be able to come to the branch. A Supervisor in the branch must authorize all such transactions
